Someone had mentioned that s/he was interested in visiting Black Hill. Well, to whet your appetite further.... today my pal Roger and I saw an adult Bald Eagle sitting on a tree for about 20 minutes in the park. It is known to frequent the park (it is seen almost every day) along with an immature. Apparently, the ducks are tasty over there. Very close to where we saw the eagle, we spotted a Red-headed Woodpecker. It too was cooperative- we watched it until we were too cold to stand around any longer. Enjoy the park when you visit, and tell your friends! Andy Rabin Gaithersburg, MD andyrab@wam.umd.edu P.S. I still think Seneca Creek State Park is better ;)
