Ralph:

There was an earlier report of a Thick-billed Murre
from Pt. Lookout State Park right around the first
of January. That bird was never substantiated and
Kyle Rambo, an excellent birder, had been covering
the area extensively the same day for Xmas Count.
The conditions were bad and he didn't see how anyone
could have seen anything in the location indicated.

However, it is possible that if there was a murre
at Pt. Lookout (MD) it would have ended up at
Kiptopeke. Who knows?
