Alas, the loon apparently hasn't read this posting. I ran down to St. George's Island as soon as Tyler called me with this wonderful information. I didn't get there until 12:10, but there was only one obviously-common loon any where to be seen. I stayed for 35 minutes, but nothing else came in to view. We'll try to plan our future trips down there with up-coming low tides.
