Beauvue Ponds have been unproductive this year. One of the most reliable
but inaccessible spots is the old Harrier landing pad on the runway at
Pax River NAS. Kyle or Doug would know if there have been any there
recently but I bet there haven't. Also, check out the marshes at
Cornfield Harbor near Point Lookout. Jane, Marty and I were there in
March or April a couple of years ago and had 3 or 4 SEOWs flying around
in the early morning. You could try there around late evening then head
down to the field across from the old "Sister's Place" store, just after
the hard right beyond the monument near PLSP, for Woodcocks.
