Marshes at Saxis, VA (below Chicoteague) have Seaside and Sharp-tailed
     Sparrows plus rails.

     Howdy all!

A huge "thank you" to everyone for their input on the Swainson's
     Warbler and the Short-eared Owl!

Although I'm moving across the street this weekend (it's still a move
and alas, takes time), if I have any energy left, I'm gonna try to get
to Elliott Island Saturday afternoon/evening for a birding break and
hopefully, a SHORT-EARED OWL. I struck out in Western Ohio on Monday,
     hiking through pungent-smelling, ankle-deep, shoe-sucking, quagmire
attempting to kick up a daytime (daytime was the *only* time I had)
SHORT-EARED OWL. hmmmmm. And I do this for FUN? <grin>

I didn't make it down to Elliott Island last year, but I heard that a
couple of trips by others did not produce any BLACK RAILs. Did anyone
see them last year at Elliott Island? And what about SALTMARSH
SHARP-TAILED, SEASIDE, and HENSLOW'S SPARROWs, and SEDGE WREN? Any
luck at Elliott Island for any of these?

I hope I'm not wearing out my posting privileges or anyone's patience
     with my many questions...
