Greg - We did have Black Rails last year at Elliott's Island. Best best ... go on one of the ANS or Anne Arundel County Bird Club trips with Hal Wieranga (Mr. Black Rail ... or as we call him, "ki ki kuur"). These trips usually go in July or August ... bring bug juice!). Saltmarsh and Seaside Sparrows are common. Henslow's has extripated from the area for 15 years or so. I think Deal Island is a better shot for Sedge Wren (but check with someone else).
