     Hi Ospreyers:

Last night after work my wife, Sharon and I took a walk around Lake
Kittamaqundi in Columbia, MD. We found our first Palm Warbler of the
year along with four Caspian Terns.

Night before last, we went to Rockburn Branch Park (eastern Howard
Co.) and found a Black & White Warbler, many Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers
and six loudly singing Brown Thrashers.

This past Saturday we went to Skyline Drive. It has finally reopened
after being closed since the January ice storm. The devastation was
horrible. Virtually no trees near the top of the mountains remained
unscathed. They were either topped or blown over completely. Birds
seen were three Common Ravens, an Eastern Towhee and two Blue-headed
     Vireos on the Limberlost Trail.

     Good birding to all.
