It reminded me very poignantly of one of the finest moments I ever shared with my dad - on the dike around Shearness Pool at Bombay Hook when an adult bald eagle swooped out of the sky not twenty feet from our car, hit dikeside with his talons, and made off with a brown ball of fur. That was back in January of '70 or '71 - a memory I cherish especially since my dad is gone. I suspect your daughter will feel about the same in the years to come. Thanks for a great story!
