Dear 'spreyers (heh, heh), Some time ago I issued a rash invitation to all of you to get together at the 1998 Annual MOS Conference for some chit-chat, a glass of wine or whatever, and the opportunity to put faces with names, for those of us who haven't met. Well, Lou DeMouy, our Conference Coordinator, has done us up just fine! We have the Spruce Room from 8:30 - 10:30 p.m. on Friday evening, after dinner and after our speaker. Mayhap we'll NEED that glass of wine by then??? So, all are invited (all MDOspreyers, that is) but we'd like to have a very rough head count so we know what we need to provide in the way of refreshments. If you'll be at Wisp and even THINK you'd like to attend, leave us a note to confirm (osprey@ari.net or saunderf@ari.net). Now, I know the opportunity to spend two hours in our company should have all of you hopping out to Western Maryland, but just in case that's NOT enough to convince you... Be it known that Mr. Mark Hoffman, gull watcher and bird photographer extraordinaire, has volunteered to lead us all down the true path (or so he describes it...grin) in the finer points of The Gull. I for one am excited by the prospect of seeing Mark's photos of The Gull and maybe getting some good discussion going about the bird, like how was it Fran and I got to see three of them the morning we were up there???. Mark, thank you for volunteering to share all this with us! Once again, PLEASE let us know if you'll be able to drop in...remember, the Spruce Room, 8:30-10:30 Friday evening, May 15. Be there or be square.... Norm & Fran =============== Norm Saunders Colesville, MD osprey@ari.net
