If any of you would like to show up to show your support of keeping Myrtle Point wild, it would be greatly appreciated by us St. Mary's county folk. -- Good Birding! ...and all this science, Tyler Bell I don't understand, It's mailto:bell@say.acnatsci.org just my job five days a week. For information, it invites us to telephone 301-884-8526. Seems to me this could be an effort by a certain political faction to call = out their "silent majority" to take over and develop the park the way they = want, not the way the public have requested in previous public hearings. = I think SMAS members should make it a point to be there and protest the = potential destruction of wildlife habitat absent a clear plan for = developing the recreation facilities of the park. In any case, I think we = need to make our viewpoint evident in every way possible, if we hope to = preserve any amount of natural history and wildlife value in the Myrtle = Point Park. Should not someone at least have a petition to sign opposing = the kind of active development (boat launching ramps, fishing piers, = athletic fields, etc., etc.) that seem to be the goal of this "club?" --------------53E04E544FA0--
