Went to Conowingo Dam on April 23 in early morning and had some good birds: Double-crested Cormorant - 155 Great Blue Heron - 56 (counted 25 nests on Cecil County side) Black-crowned Night Heron - 6 (counted 3 nests on island) Solitary Sandpiper - 1 (seen on edge of island) Ring-billed Gull - 10 Herring Gull - 28 Great Black-backed Gull - 15 (all subadult) Caspian Tern - 2 Turkey Vulture - 11 Black Vulture - 8 Bald Eagle - 2 (adult) Osprey - 4 Rock Dove - 21 Mourning Dove - 4 Great Horned Owl - 2 Eastern Kingbird - 2 N. Rough-winged Swallow - 85 Blue Jay - 2 Am. Crow - 5 Fish Crow - 3 Carolina Chickadee - 3 Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 2 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 4 Am. Robin - 6 N. Mockingbird - 5 European Starling - 23 N.
