Subject: Black-necked Stilt, St. Mary's County, 5/4/98

  At 6:20 p.m. on May 4, on a private farm at the end of
Long Neck Road near Point Lookout in St. Mary's County
(MD), we found a single BLACK-NECKED STILT. Both the
Yellow Book and Patty Craig confirmed that this is a 
first county sighting. Jane kostenko, Patty, Anne
Bishop, Marty Cribb, and I, all saw the bird upCribb
through the time the rains started, around 7:30 p.m.
  The farm is private property; email directly to
either Jane or me for specific directions.
