Drat, I would be heading to Western Maryland this weekend! Thanks for the heads-up, Charlie! ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- Date: Wed, 13 May 1998 15:56:23 -0400 To: osprey@mtolympus.ari.net From: Eastern Shore Stamps <stamps@sea-east.com> Subject: Good birds Norm, Two birds of interest in Ocean City today. At the jetty (south east end) is a breeding plumage Thick-billed Murre! In the west O.C. pond are 11 (count um, 1,2, ...) breeding plumage Red Phalaropes! Sam Dyke called us about the murre, which he had seen earlier this morning. He didn't mention the phalaropes. I haven't been able to reach him as of this moment to determine if the birds showed up after he was in O.C., or, if he didn't stop by the pond. Gail and I saw the birds about 1:30 - 2:00 pm today.
