I was amused by Marcia's account of the groundhog in the
mulberry tree. I recently saw my first groundhog in a tree
out at Lucketts, Loudoun Co. VA. It was about 8ft. up a
12 ft. sapling and was busily eating the young leaves and
shoots at the ends of the branches. It looked most odd but
seemed to be quite at ease.

A word of warning about mulberry trees: You better have a
garage or at least a carport. The mulberries seem to have the
usual effect on bird bowels.
