Pacific Loon

I got very good looks at the Pacific Loon today, May 29, from about
10:45 to 11:30 in the Tidal Basin, DC. I first saw it at about parking
area 6; it then moved toward the 14th St. Bridge, diving and coming up
about every 20-30 seconds as it moved along near the seawall. I kept
close to it by walking along at a leisurely pace. Many times I was
within a few feet of it, the same experience as other birders have
reported.
