Hi Ralph, If you're traveling from Calgary to Banff I suggest the Bow Valley Provincial Park for trip out. It's very birdy in June. Great spot to practice flycatcher ID. In Banff National Park go to Fenland Trail and then Sunshine Meadows. Both are good for variety but expect tourists from mid morning. Haven't been to Jasper National Park but I understand Cottonwood Slough is the best spot near town and is a good place to see Barrow's goldeneye. Good luck. ___________ David Gersten Herndon, VA gerstens@erols.com OldHawk@aol.com wrote: > Hi, > > I have the books but am looking for any specific suggestions anybody may > have for good spots to see birds and mammals in Jasper and Banff at the end of > June and beginning of July. > > Thanks. > > Ralph W.
