David Bridge made some important and useful suggestions for improving
reporting. While not necessary for records, a couple of other items are
useful for chasing: time of day and location, as in "on the ground", "foraging
ten feet up" "vocalizing from the top of a 30 foot pine tree", etc.
Most birds are habitual, so knowing precisely when and where one was seen is
the best predictor of when and where it might be seen again.
