I too buy an annual Golden Eagle pass - $50/year, and the year runs for 12
calendar months from whenever you buy it. One advantage to this, over the
Duck Stamp, is that it gets you and everyone in your car into all national
fee areas - parks, recreation areas, not just refuges. This is great for
travelling. My pass more than pays for itself every year, if I figure
the equivalent cost of day passes to all the places that I visit.

To put the cost in perspective: one-day admission for one adult to an
amusement park like Sea World, Disney World, etc. costs about $40 and up.
Compared to this, the Golden Eagle is a bargain!
