Bonnie,
	This would be extraordinarily early for a migrant Rose-breasted 
Grosbeak, but not impossible.  The other possibilities are that it is a 
summering non-breeding vagrant that is just wandering around the 
countryside, or it is a breeder that has started to move after nesting 
locally.  A few were found in the Piedmont during the Atlas.
	Is it a male or female?  Just for the record.
