Subject: Woodstork at Point Lookout
On Wed. Aug. 19th between 3:30 & 3:45 PM, I watched a single Woodstork fly
over & land at the small pond behind the boat-launch parking lot at Point
Lookout, St. Mary's Co., MD. I was standing on the new bridge that has been
built over the outflow as the bird came into view. It landed on the far side
of the pond, to the right of the Osprey platform. I tried, unsuccessfully, to
call the Voice of the Naturalist today to report the sighting. No one
answered the phone & there was no voice mail. If you wish to discuss this

I reported the bird at the park office at about 4:10 that afternoon.
