Barry and I went down to Rock Creek Park, DC this morning, not expecting too much and were not disappointed. However, there are some migrants around: American Redstart (4); Canada (3); Chestnut-sided (1); Eastern Pewee (2); Eastern Phoebe (2); Great Crested Flycatcher (1); Acadian FC (2); Baltimore Oriole (1); Red-eyed Vireo (2, one was singing!); House Wren (3); Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (6), R-T Hummingbird (4). Very hot, still and dry. Things are waiting for the next cold front -- or Bonnie, whichever comes first! Gail Mackiernan and Barry Cooper gail@umdd.umd.edu
