Was able to slip out this morning for a short bird walk. Went to Plum
Tree Path in Columbia MD (which I haven't been to for quite some time).
It was very overgrown and the old trail into the marsh was hard going.
It LOOKS like a great area for marsh birds. The cattails and marsh
plants are expanding. The dead trees would be perfect for an OS Fly. One
downside was all the exposed mud areas are gone so there were no signs
of shorebirds.
It was pretty slow birding. The best was a yellow warbler (getting late
I think?)
