Highlights from 0730-1030 at Huntley Meadows, VA, 5 Sept 98

Kestrel, Cooper's Hawk, YB Cuckoo, Eastern Peewee, Great Crested Flycatcher,
Acadian Flycatcher, EASTERN KINGBIRD (v uncommon this time of year in No. VA),
Red-eyed Vs (3+), Blue-wing W, N. Parula, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia (8+),
Black-thr Blue, Prairie, Redstart (2+), Worm-eating, Common Yellowthroat
(10+), Canada (2+), Indigo Bunting (singing!) and probable overflights of 40+
Bobolinks.

On a lark, Cher and I met up with Todd and Mike Day at Bombay, about
1400-1700, highlights...

Little Blue Heron (4), Wood Duck, Green-wing Teal, Black Duck, Mallard, No.
Pintail, Blue-wing Teal, No. Shoveler, Gadwall, No. Harriers, Merlin and
Peregrine at Port Mahon, 6 Buff-breasted Sandpipers in the dirt field on the
right when you turn into the road to Bombay fr Leipsic, Horned Lark (500+ in
dirt field) and 2 Eastern Kingbirds.
