Morning Mourning at Wakefield

This a.m., as I was waiting to meet Mike Collins, I saw an adult male
mourning warbler foraging low in a bramble of multiflora rose and ironweed
at Wakefield Park. Saw the bird at 6:45 a.m. just left of the tennis courts
on a narrow path that leads around the courts (to the left) to the powerline
cut Mike has been describing in previous posts.

Here are Mike's directions to the powerline cut:

Take the Braddock exit outside
the Beltway and take the first right into Wakefield Park.
Drive to the last parking lot and turn left just before
you see the pavement end. There is a blue recycling center
sign there. Then drive all the way to the NW corner of the
lot. Go toward the tennis courts and follow the path [I SAW THE MOURNING
HERE NEAR THE BEGINNING OF THIS PATH] to the left (west) of them to the
powerline cut.
