This morning I had an interesting sighting behind my house. I observed
a bird flycathing from the tips of the dead snags bordering my
woodlands. I was fairly certain it was an OSF but it did not appear as
"vested" as the others I have seen. I did call some friends who came
over and we did ID it as an OSF. We then realized there were TWO birds
and the second was very clearly vested. We were able to watch them for
the afternoon as they hunted from their perches. Sometimes next to
smaller empids which showed us a very clear size difference.
