I was at Bombay Hook on Sunday. There was a good assortment of
shorebirds. In Raymond Pool (at high tide) were at least 3 Hudsonian
Godwits and at least 5 Golden Plovers (northeast corner). Also seen
were about 10 Stilt Sandpipers, 100+ Avocets, Black-necked Stilt,
Black-bellied Plovers, SB Dowitchers (Others heard LB Dowitchers but
my hearing is not that good), Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs, a Dunlin
and Pectoral Sandpipers. I did NOT see Golden Plovers or
Buff-breasted Sandpipers in the fields where you turn into the
entrance road to Bombay Hook, but apparently Buff-breasted were seen
there early in the day. Happy Birding, Dan Eberly
