With all the reports from Wakefield lately, I decided to check it out and go
into work late. Not much luck. I spoke to two other birders and they had about
the same luck as I did. Someone did see a single Magnolia warbler, but it
wasn't me. I spent about 1.5 hours walking around the power line cut. No sedge
wren, but the wrens were not cooperative at all today, so I could've easily
missed an ID.

Here's my list:

Common yellowthroat (7)
Palm (1)
Goldfinches (too many)
Catbirds (at every corner)
Mockingbirds (8)
Coopers Hawk (1)
Sharp Shinned (2)
House Wren (5)
Carolina Wren (3)
Strange finch/sparrow (mostly grey with finch like bill, a little rufous on
back, big black eyes, pale legs, slightly smaller than the song sparrow) anybody
want to guess. It was hanging out with some song sparrows (3)
Cardinals (2)
Chimney Swifts (4)
Rose breasted grosbeak (1)
House finches (10 or so)
Mourning Dove (2)

I thought it was strange that I did not hear or see any chicadees, titmice, or
downy's.
