Another interesting day at Riverbend Saturday, 26 Sept, which is about 5
minutes from the entrance to Great Falls. (Going west on Georgetown Pike,
pass Great Falls entrance and then take the next right. Travel this road and
follow the small posted signs just beyond the 4-way stop sign. Go past the
main entrance to the park and take the next right - this goes to the nature
center parking lot.) The day started slow, fallout did not occur until about
0745. Overall numbers of individuals and species were down, but still alot of
fun. Highlights were...

A Yellow-bellied Sapsucker + the other 5 regular woodpeckers in good numbers,
E. Peewee (1), Eastern Phoebe (2), House Wren (3), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (3),
Philadelphia Vireo (1), Red-eyed Vireo (3), Tennessee (3), No. Parula (2),
Magnolia (2), Black-throated Green (1), Black&White (1), Am. Redstart (1),
Common Yellowthroat (10), Scarlet Tanager (1), and Indigo Bunting (10).
