Folks, Dyke Marsh is National Parkland and is administered by the U.S. National Park Service. You may also wish to contact the Friends of Dyke Marsh (see webpage for address) and persuade them about your idea. This organization has been a watchdog group for Dyke Marsh for nearly 25 years and frequently interracts with the National Park Service. I suspect they would like to have a say in your plan. The Dyke Marsh name is very old, going back beyond the time of President Teddy Roosevelt, who birded there frequently and whose notes on Dyke are in the National Archives. The area has been a favorite spot of naturalists since about 1878 and I suspect the Dyke name may be older still. It is naturalist historical site as it was set aside as an "irreplaceable wetland" by Congress on June 11, 1959 - one of the first federal actions in this area. Kurt Gaskill
