Hi -- At this time of year, a good spot to hit is Assateague, specifically the brushy areas around the state park beach houses, also north up the road from the entrance, and (in the National Seashore) the areas around the camp grounds, maintenance yards, etc. This is a good time and place to see Orange-crowned Warbler, good sparrows which could include Lark, Clay-colored, Nelson's Sharptailed, etc., and who knows what else. Scan power lines for interesting flycatchers. Be sure to check the seaside and bayside for shorebirds, waterfowl, etc. I would also expect a nice assortment of migrants with the coming front, including falcons. Gail Mackiernan gail@umdd.umd.edu
