Yesterday (Sunday) my wife and I hiked and birded along the trails on the
western edge of Black Hill Regional Park (Montgomery County). We were
treated to an excellent view of a pair of Worm-eating Warblers.
Additionally there was a flock of Yellow-rumps, a few Palms, and a
Black-throated Green. On this (western) arm of the lake there were over 100
Canada Geese but no ducks. In the sky we had both accipiters, a
Red-shouldered, and a Red-tailed Hawk. Otherwise it was mostly the usual
birds, and we enjoyed our first White-throats and Juncos of the season.
