Point Lookout, MD.....

I will pick up where Kurt left off.

On Sunday, 11 Oct 98, Kurt Gaskill and I birded Point Lookout State Park, St.
Mary's County, MD.  We arrived at the point at about 7:30 and left Long Neck
Road at around 16:00.  The weather was pleasant.  Temps started in the low
50's, and peaked probably near 70 or so.  Wind was variable in both speed and
direction.  Early morning had westerly winds, steady at about 20mph, with
higher gusts.  Mid-day had easterly wind, but much calmer.  The wind
eventually swung around to northwest, and remained mild.  Eight-seven species
were observed.
