Please keep us posted on any such effort, be it a group visit or whatever. I am very interested - this bird would be a lifer for me. I've missed it many times (the last time I remember chasing it was a Delaware bird - Lewes? - many moons ago...). By the way, this past weekend I saw more Juncos in my neighborhood than I can ever remember seeing in Oct. during our 12 years in Silver Spring. They were everywhere! Tom Stock Silver Spring, who, by the way, continues to have better luck with butterflies this fall: Ocola Skipper on October 17-18 in my yard (very nice looks!), a possible Eufala Skipper on October 17 in the same place (corresponding with Dick Smith to get a second opinion on the small, dark, cryptic skipper I saw), and a real nice Sleepy Orange this past Saturday, again, in the yard!
