Made a brief stop at Conowingo Dam this A.M. Few birds were around.
Highl;ights included 2 PEREGRINE FLCONS resting on the superstructure and
hunting pigeons, 1 LAUGHING GULL, 125 BONAPARTE'S GULLS, 2 COMMON LOONS, 25
RUDDY DUCKS, AND 1 BUFFLEHEAD above the dam, and 20 FORSTER'S TERNS above
and below the dam. No other waterfowl were present and almost all the gulls
were upriver.

"Everywhere I go I'm asked if the university stifles writers. My opinion is
that they don't stifle enough of them. There's many a bestseller that could
have been prevented by a good teacher." Flannery O'Connor
