Hi Greg -- Some British friends of ours did that last year, in conjunction with a trip to some of the Polynesian islands. They essentially were acting as volunteers for FWS and counted nesting seabirds for a few hours each day (they were there 2 weeks). They had all the expected species including the Short-tailed Albatross, which had been missing (out at sea) for 13 of the 14 days they were there and returned the last day! Whew! (It is an immature or young female). They went in March, I believe. If you want I can give you their phone number or address -- they are not on the internet. Cheers, Gail Mackiernan
