Sandy Zimmerman and I discovered a female King Eider in Delaware Bay adjacent to Port Mahon road at 1:50PM Saturday, November 28. The bird was bathing and preening for about ten minutes, sixty yards off shore, in very good light. We watched it in a scope for fifteen minutes. It was between the fishing pier and the bait shack. After finishing with its activities it slowly swam out to sea. Bob Mumford Darnestown 301 948 1283
