Greenbelt Area bird finds on January 1, 1999--Friday I think!

Made a quick trip to the Hanover Road Pond by Greenway Shopping Center
in Greenbelt, MD about 3 p.m. today, January 1.  There were
approximatley 10 gulls on the pond--all ring-billed.  Decided I'd make
a lap to Greenbelt Lake off Kenilworth Road.  This turned up a pair
of coots and about 12 ring-necked ducks.  What a pretty sight and
very close.  Hope to see the Icelandic.  It would add to my life list.
