Howdy All!

     Any of you who *need* an excuse to purchase the new "Birds
of the West Indies" can use the following valid excuse:

     *** The plates include color illustrations of both Eurasian
Collared Dove and Shiny Cowbird.

     Those of you using this excuse, should do so quickly as the
third edition of the National Geographic Society Field Guide will
be coming out late this spring with 75 new species illustrated.
I'm assuming both of the above will be included in the new
edition.  I bought the West Indies book with some Christmas money
over the holidays.  Ahhh.  A different world...
