Started out at Cape Henlopen and had 150+ Snow = Buntings wheeling about the dunes around the Point. Not too much else = happening out there beside what you might expect-R.T. Loons and a few = Common Loons and a couple of large groups of Bonaparte's Gulls and a few = scoters and R.B. Mergansers. I headed down to the Indian River inlet and saw about 12 Purple = Sandpipers on the rocks on the north side of the inlet. As I picked through the many Bonaparte's Gulls further up the beach on = the north side, I found a first winter Little Gull out in the water = about 30 yards off shore. No sign of the Black-headed Gull that had = been reported recently from that area. I made a last stop over at Broadkill Marsh and had 3 Short-eared Owls = fairly close to the road at about 4:45 P.M.
