Jan. 10, 1999 1200 hours.
New Design Road just north of Oland and Lily Pons Road.
The only field in the area with manure on top of the iced over snow.
Originally found by Mike Welch.
Observations:
6 Eastern meadowlark
5 Snow buntings
6 Lapland longspur
250 Horned lark (could have many more over the hill)
50+ Rock dove
60+ American crow

Buntings, larks and longspurs were observed at close range. These bird
would move around a good bit and end up near the road allowing great views
through the spotting scope.

Thanks Mike,
Wil Hershberger
