These are the directions to Patuxent's National Wildlife Visitors
Center from the BW Parkway --

From the north, exit onto Powdermill Road (Beltsville Agric Center).
Take a left at the bottom of the ramp. There is a sign to Visitor
Center but it can be easily missed. Stay on Powdermill Rd (MD 212) and
watch for the Visitor Center entrance on the right.

From the south, take the Beltsville Agric Center/Powdermill Road
(third exit after crossing Washington Beltway). Turn right at the
bottom of the exit and watch for the entrance on the right.

In both cases, if you miss the entrance you will come to the end of
Powdermill Road where it intersects with MD Route 197 (not 198 or
193). You would need to turn around and go back onto Powdermill Road
and watch for Visitor Center entrance on the left.

Hope this helps anyone who needed/needs directions. It is a wonderful
Visitor Center and well worth visiting for the exhibits etc. even if
     the gulls do not cooperate.

     Cheers,
     Kathy Klimkiewicz

The entry gate to the Visitors' Center is off Powdermill Road, between
the Balt-Washington (or Gladis Spellman) Parkway and MD 198, probably
1/2 mile south of 198; in PG county.
