There was still plenty of ice and plenty of gulls when we got over to Patuxent today, best birds were a first winter Glaucous and one or perhaps two Lesser BB Gulls (at different times, looked somewhat different to me). No Icelands up until we left at about 1 pm. Other birds around were about 30 Rusty Blackbirds on (drained) Cash Lake, perhaps 20 Common Snipe, a Tree Sparrow just outside the Center, and various close-in raptors like a Red-shoulder Hawk which perched on the center roof and pounced on prey just outside the window, much to everyone's delight.
