Subject: snow buntings Date: Sat, 16 Jan 1999 06:59:32 +1200 From: Dennis Kirkwood <kirkwoodd@netfox.net> To: les_eastman@netfox.net There were about 100 ! snow buntings at the World Famous Bradenbaugh Flats today seen at 10:00 am and again at 2:30 pm along Harford Creamery Road from 0 to 1/2 mile south of Bradenbaugh Road. yesterday I saw at least one Am. pipit and 150 horned larks, 6 savannah sparrows, and today one immature tundra swan on Turney's pond at 4531 Harford Creamery Road. This is definitely an all-time record for snow buntings for Harford County! There was also a large mixed flock of blackbirds that I scanned briefly. In early December, I found a yellow-headed blackbird in a similar flock. It should be good birding the next couple days. Please spread the word.
