Patti, Todd, and other Bogen-bashers, You can get replacement parts from ABA, but I wonder why all the destruction is occurring. I find that lubrication of the threads makes tightening and loosening much easier. Over time the process becomes harder and a light grease makes everything work much more smoothly. You can get a small tube of white lubricating grease at Sears or Hechinger or any other hardware store, and it will probably last you a lifetime, and eliminate a lot of the breakage. And while I'm on the podium, let me switch to another thread. One very good way to chase your birds and minimize the environmental impact is to use high- mileage cars instead of the monster truck-like beasts that seem so popular, but drink so much fuel in the name of 4-wheel drive. If I need one, I rent one, otherwise I get around in my Saturn with 88,000+ miles that has averaged a hair under 39mpg. It's a simple solution, and it costs a whole lot less to buy and to operate while simultaneously being environment-friendly. It seems so obvious. Paul O'Brien Rockville, MD pobrien776@aol.com
