I was very impressed with Marshall Iliff's list of January birds in this state, and it prompted the question in my mind "Where does one find all these birds?" Many birds I'd like to see in this state I notice are "easy to find" according to Marshall's coding. If this is the case, where are the reliable locations for these birds in Maryland: Great Cormorant Ring-necked Pheasant (where is Cherry Hill?) Ruffed Grouse (where is Snaggy Mt. Rd?) Barn Owl (which barn?) Short-eared Owl Sedge Wren (where is Irish Grove?) both Sharp-tailed Sparrows Thanks in advance for any input on the above. Stan Arnold Glen Burnie, MD
