All - Earlier today, I requested an update on the gull for some friends in New York. Steve Sanford was kind enough to provide an update from today, but he was the only one. I really get bothered when I can't get electronic info on out of town "good birds" in other areas. Please be courteous of all the birders that are trying to gather enough information to make a decision as to whether or not to travel many miles to chase this bird. I have heard that there were scores, if not a hundred birders at the dam on some days. Sometimes, someone local will "adopt" a good bird and take the responsibility to keep the world posted on it's comings and goings (like Jane Kostenko did with our MD Fork-tailed Flycatcher). Please, keep the electronic communities (MD_Osprey and Birdchat) posted on the status of this "good" bird. Thanks.
