Rob, I agree too, from what Ottavio says about the description of Kelp Gull. I looked through my Seabird of the World from Fact on File, it has a photo picture of a Kelp Gull flock and other picture of Lesser Black-backed Gull, both are way different with the legs and the mantle, it is a Kelp Gull we all saw down there. The LBBG has a bright yellow leg in the picture and the Kelp has a yellowish-green leg in the picture, it is the same color leg I saw on the pier. It is a Kelp Gull, I hope other birders agree with this. Kevin Graff Baltimore, MD ggraff@erols.com
