This gorgeous a.m. at the farm produced Horned Lark 5 with a pair in the same spot as last week SINGING Common Snipe 3 Savannah Sparrow 75 (one large flock) The ponds were pretty well frozen over and the only waterfowl were about 20 BLACK DUCKS, KILLDEER were in small ## with a dozen or so in the fields and around the mud. SONGS were really vocal, KINGFISHERS rattling, BLUEBIRDS warbling. It was a fantastic morning with birdsong everywhere! I returned home to see a kettle of 7 red-shouldered hawks over the house.
