BVs feasting at Great Falls

There's a wondrous large rotting carcass (cow/deer?) in the rocks about
50 yards straight out (below the roller dam) from the downstream end of
the intake platform by the Great Falls (MD) tavern.

Yesterday at mid-day 2 black vultures were having lunch for over an
hour. Kinda gross when one gets its whole head inside the carcass, but
none the less a wonderful opportunity to put a scope on them and be able
to see the real differences between the physiognomy of BVs and TVs.

Bon appetit,
