This morning (over my Ellicott city, Howard county house) I counted 12,300 Canada Geese flying north. It was a sight to behold! The main V's came over between 6:45 - 7:30 with some straggling through until 9:00. In the midst of these were 2 SNOW GEESE! A yard lifer for me (#166). Also were four lines of TUNDRA SWANS -93 total Birds). Plenty of AMERICAN ROBINS 100+, also 3 migrant FLICKERS. A great blue heron also passed by increasing my yard bird list for 1999 to 51. Bonnie Ott p.s. I did have a song sparrow "barking" from the brush at the woods edge.
